UNL Scientists Receive Awards from American Society of Animal Science
LINCOLN, Neb. — Two University of Nebraska-Lincoln animal scientists have been honored by the American Society of Animal Science.
Terry Klopfenstein, professor, received the ASAS Morrison Award, given each year to a society member who has done outstanding recent research that has been of direct importance in livestock production.
Galen Erickson, associate professor, received the ASAS Early Career Achievement Award, given to recognize young scholars working to further the society's mission of "discovery, sharing, and application of scientific knowledge concerning the responsible use of animals to enhance human life and well-being."
The awards are to be presented at a meeting this month.
