2016 IANR Roads Scholar Tour

July 26, 2017

Lincoln, Neb. — On Aug. 1-3 several new faculty and staff from the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will participate in the IANR Roads Scholar Tour. The tour allows new IANR personnel to see and experience various regions of Nebraska.

This year the three-day tour is packed with stops including Raising Nebraska, the West Central Research and Extension Center, Cedar Point Biological Station, Lake McConaughy Visitor/Water Interpretive Center, Panhandle Research and Extension Center, Western Sugar Factory, Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory and the Wagonhammer Education Center.

The annual tour was first held in 2008. It was organized to help new personnel learn more about Nebraska businesses and UNL facilities throughout the state. The tour also provides new hires an opportunity to meet innovative people in the region.
