A note from Interim Vice Chancellor Tiffany Heng-Moss

TIffany Heng-Moss

Dear Colleagues,

As we begin a new semester, I want to take a moment to recognize the momentum already underway across the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The work happening in our classrooms, labs, research centers, Extension offices, and communities continues to demonstrate the strength and relevance of Nebraska’s land-grant mission.

IANR enters this semester with a clear sense of purpose and opportunity. Our faculty and staff are advancing discovery and innovation in areas critical to Nebraska and the world—digital and precision agriculture, water and rangeland resilience, food systems, bioeconomy solutions, and community vitality. At the same time, our students are bringing energy, creativity, and leadership to their studies and service, preparing to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing agricultural and natural resources landscape.

Aligned with the University of Nebraska’s Odyssey to the Extraordinary, IANR is focused on bold, interdisciplinary work in food, water, energy, health, and community. These priorities guide our strategic direction and position Nebraska as a national leader in land-grant impact. What happens next in agriculture happens first in Nebraska.

As the semester unfolds, I look forward to the collaborations, discoveries, and partnerships that will continue to strengthen IANR’s impact across the state and beyond. Thank you for the dedication and commitment you bring to this work every day.

Sincerely,
Tiffany Heng-Moss
Interim Vice Chancellor, IANR
