Department of Statistics to host fall virtual workshop series

The UNL Department of Statistics’ Statistical Consulting, Collaboration and Computing Lab (SC3L) will host a series of free virtual workshops this fall, open to participants of all experience levels and backgrounds. The workshops will be offered via Zoom on Wednesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m., Sept. 24 through Oct. 23.

Each week will focus on a different statistical topic, with sessions led by expert presenters from the department:

  • Sept. 24–25: Introduction to R
    Presented by Muxin Hua
  • Oct. 1–2: Data Visualization
    Presented by Tyler Wiederich
  • Oct. 8–9: Hypothesis Testing and T-tests in R
    Presented by Malith Premarathna
  • Oct. 15–16: One-Way ANOVA in R
    Presented by Frank Agyemang
  • Oct. 22–23: Two-Way ANOVA in R
    Presented by Bipin Poudel

The workshop series is designed to provide accessible, hands-on learning opportunities for students, faculty and community members interested in building or expanding their data analysis skills.
