Mark your calendars — the East Campus Dining Center is inviting the University of Nebraska–Lincoln community to its summertime grill outs.
The 2026 grill outs will highlight different barbecue styles from around the country and world each week, taking visitors on a culinary road trip. Aside from the delectable proteins visitors can choose from, dining staff also create sauces, sides and desserts from the week's featured region.
The East Campus Dining Center will serve the barbecue options during the lunch period of 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The grill outs are a tradition for the center and, weather permitting, the meals are served outside. The meals are part of the University Dining plan, or can be purchased at a faculty/staff or visitor rate.
The schedule and featured flavors are as follows:
- June 11 — Mexican Fiesta BBQ
- June 18 — Chicago Style BBQ
- June 25 — Filipino BBQ
- July 9 — Kansas BBQ
- July 16 — Feelin’ Saucy BBQ
- July 23 — Carolina BBQ
- July 30 — Hawaiian BBQ Featuring Grandma Fosters
