The Husker Spirit Office Decorating Contest featured this display at the Business Services Complex. The design was part of the winning entry for the Multiple Doors/Entryway contest.
Things got wonderfully wicked at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln this homecoming week, as campus offices transformed into the dazzling metropolis of Scarlet City.
The annual Husker Spirit Office Decorating Contest invited faculty and staff to showcase school pride by decorating office doors, cubicles and entryways in a Husker-hued twist on the Emerald City in "Wicked." Judging took place Sept. 30.
Contest winners, listed by category, are:
- Category 1 (Single Door/Cubicle) — Alex Fernando, assistant director of recruitment in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, Andersen Hall, Room 147
- Category 2 (Multiple Doors/Entryway) — Business Services Complex, 1700 Y St.
Offices were encouraged to keep decorations up throughout the week to help students, faculty and staff get into the homecoming spirit. A full list of ongoing homecoming events is available here.
