Lincoln, Neb. — The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln celebrates CASNR week April 11-15. The 22nd annual event celebrates the successes of all CASNR students, faculty, staff and alumni.
“We are excited for CASNR Week to be back in person this year and can’t wait to engage with the CASNR Community at so many fun events,” said Meg Kester, strategic initiatives and alumni engagement for CASNR.
CASNR Week Schedule:
April 11 – 15
CASNR Food Drive
Support the East Campus Husker Pantry during a week-long food drive. Bins are located in Hardin Hall, Chase Hall, 103 Agricultural Hall, Entomology Hall, Nebraska East Union, Filley Hall, the Engler space, Animal Science Building, Keim Hall, School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Nebraska Innovation Campus. April 11
Spanish Professional Language Café in Spanish Glove Event
Are you learning Spanish, or speak it but need some help using it in a professional setting? Are you looking for an opportunity to speak about your studies, research or work across CASNR in Spanish? The Global Learning Hub Language Café is welcome to speakers of all levels to visit the hub from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ag Hall 202 and meet other language enthusiasts. You can stop by, grab a coffee, tea, and treats, network with others and practice your language skills.

CASNR Coffee Club and Advisory Board Breakfast
Join the CASNR Coffee Club and the CASNR Advisory Board for a donuts and bacon breakfast, along with an opportunity to network with other students, faculty members, and the advisory board from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in front of Dinsdale Learning Commons.
CASNR Community Night
Enjoy a night of fun for the whole family with an engaging demonstration from Wildlife Encounters and free pizza for families on the first and second floors of Hardin Hall on Nebraska’s East Campus from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
April 13
Burger and Hot Dog Lunch in the Commons
Join students, faculty and staff for the annual lunch in the Commons. Fresh hamburgers and hot dogs will be served in the Animal Science Complex Commons from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
April 14
Ice Cream Social
Chat amongst others in the CASNR community while enjoying free ice cream from the Dairy Store. Stop by the UNL Dairy Store from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to grab a sweet treat and meaningful socialization.
Nostalgia Themed Trivia Night
Join the CASNR Emerging Leaders in Diversity and the CASNR Student Advisory Board for a night of nostalgia-themed fun at the Arbor Suite in the Nebraska East Union from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. Those who would like to participate can register as a team or as an individual at go.unl.edu/CASNRweektrivia.
April 15
Friday Fuel Up
Stop by the Great Plains Room in the Nebraska East Union from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. to fuel up on some breakfast pizza and write a gratitude note to fill someone’s tank.
