Lincoln, Neb. —The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has welcomed summer intern Alexandra Coffelt to its communications team.
A senior at Nebraska, Coffelt will create written content about events and projects around East Campus, with a focus on the School of Natural Resources.
“I’m excited to help shine a light on some of the amazing things happening on East Campus,” Coffelt said. “We have so many students and faculty members with incredible stories to tell.”
Coffelt’s communications background includes a concurrent internship with Lincoln Public Schools Sustainability and two years as a digital marketing project manager.
“I think I have a little bit of a unique perspective coming into this role as a nontraditional student,” she said. “It’s been rewarding to see the things I’ve learned in my professional and academic career come into play.”
Coffelt is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and environmental sciences communication with a minor in food, energy and water in society. When she’s not writing, she enjoys cooking, hiking and painting.
