What is your position at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I am the CASNR Statewide Education and Career Pathways Coordinator.

What drew you to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

Simply put, it was the land grant mission and the people who practice its mission every day that brought me to the university. These are the same people who put forth a strong sense of community, kindness to all, bravery to tackle the problems of today with forward thinking innovation and are also not afraid to roll up of their sleeves to put true tenacity to work so they can make an impact on the world around them. I have found all of these people here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

What aspect of working in an educational setting do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy watching a student recognize their own strengths and expertise and then they take it a step further by connecting with others to achieve and forge a new path ahead.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement is becoming a mom. I am in the process of raising my two daughters to be kind and brave independent individuals.I truly believe our future success in the world is determined by the young.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

Most people don't know that I enjoy doing photography on the side (primarily nature and people) and that I am a published photographer because I won a photography contest.

What is your life like outside of work?

Life outside of work is often busy supporting my family in all their passions in life. Currently that involves a lot of dance classes/performances, soccer games, musical concerts, and running competitions. But on a calm day/evening you will find me out in nature hiking and exploring or by a campfire enjoying good company.
