In Nebraska, one in four jobs is related to agriculture and natural resources. These jobs span everything from production and ag business to ag tech and present a wide and growing array of career options for Nebraska youth.
To prepare the K-12 students for these and other careers, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is working with educators across the state to introduce agricultural concepts into the classroom. Tammy Mittelstet, the statewide education and careers pathways coordinator for the College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources joined RFD-TV to talk about the educational programs offered.
