Lincoln, Neb. — Nebraska Extension is kicking off its annual fall conference “Road Shows” this week, offering a unique opportunity for all employees to connect with leadership, share ideas, and reflect on collective impact.
This conference series aims to bring together Nebraska Extension staff from across the state, creating a space to celebrate achievements, explore future programming ideas, and strengthen internal networks.
With offices in 83 counties and three research centers across different regions, Nebraska Extension’s statewide presence makes such gatherings essential.
“The fall conference is a vital opportunity for Nebraska Extension staff to come together, celebrate our successes, and strengthen our mission to serve Nebraskans,” said Charlie Stoltenow, dean and director. “This year, by hosting a series of events across multiple locations, we’re prioritizing accessibility and meaningful connection with our teams in each region. It’s about listening, sharing, and building on our impact to better meet the needs of our communities across the state. And it’s about being good stewards with the resources the people of Nebraska provide for us.”
Rather than a single-day event, Extension administration has scheduled six regional sessions throughout November, allowing leadership to travel to different locations and directly engage with staff. The six conference sites are as follows:
• November 12 - Panhandle Research and Extension Center (PHREEC), Scottsbluff, Neb.
• November 13 - West Central Research, Extension and Education Center (WCREEC), North Platte, Neb.
• November 14 - Hall County Extension/College Park, Grand Island, Neb.
• November 15 - Haskell Agricultural Lab, Concord, Neb.
• November 18 - Lancaster County Extension, Lincoln, Neb.
• November 22 - Nebraska East Campus Union, Lincoln, Neb.
