Weed Science School itinerary.

Lincoln, Neb. — Growers, crop consultants, and educators are encouraged to attend Nebraska Extension Weed Science School from 8.30 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. January 29 at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center near Mead.

The Weed Science School is a one day seminar covering number of weed science topics, including overview and management of glyphosate-resistant weeds, Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) procedure to investigate dicamba off-target injury, industry merger and its impact on herbicide discovery in the morning session.

Nozzle selection and manage herbicide drift, corn ear formation issues, managing herbicide-resistant waterhemp, and soybean response to 2,4-D or dicamba will highlight the afternoon session.

Dr. Bryan Young, professor of weed science, Purdue University will present his multi-state research on dicamba off-target movement.

Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) Continuing Education Units are available.
