Participants of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum's Omaha and Lincoln Garden Walks will tour native gardens and learn about sustainable gardening practices from local gardeners.
Lincoln, Neb. —The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum will hold its annual Garden Walk in Omaha on Tuesday, Sept. 13, and in Lincoln on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Both Garden Walks will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. More than a half-dozen local gardens across each city will be open to tour, with owners on hand to answer questions and provide information about the plants and garden design.
“The Garden Walks are a chance for local gardeners participating in our programs to show off the beautiful results of their hard work, while also inspiring others to explore and learn about the benefits of sustainable gardening,” said NSA Program Coordinator Sarah Buckley.
Tickets for the Garden Walks are $5/car for NSA members and $10/car for non-members. Participants will be provided with a map of the gardens on the tour and a description of each.
