Lincoln, Neb. — The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking faculty nominations for the Omtvedt Innovation Award and the Dinsdale Family Faculty Award.
The Omtvedt Innovation Award recognizes innovation and excellence in teaching, research and extension. One award is given out in each category of teaching, research, extension and teams. Faculty or faculty-led teams are eligible for this award. Individual recipients are awarded $2500 and the winning team receives $5000. The Dinsdale Family Faculty Award recognizes the creativity and excellence of the faculty’s work in fulfilling his or her position description across multiple areas of IANR’s mission. Faculty who have not been awarded tenure or faculty within the first seven years of their employment on a non-tenured track position are eligible for this award. The recipient is awarded $2000. The deadline to nominate a deserving faculty member or team is Aug. 1. Nominations should be submitted online at https://ianr.unl.edu/awards-omtvedt-nomination-form for the Omtvedt Innovation Award and at https://ianr.unl.edu/awards-dinsdale-nomination-form for the Dinsdale Family Faculty Award. The nomination packet must include a letter of recommendation, a current position description and an abbreviated CV.
