Why did you decide to come to UNL?
I always knew I wanted to be a Husker. UNL, and specifically CASNR, had me hooked from my first time on campus. The top-notch academics and people made it an easy decision.

What is your favorite thing about UNL?
My favorite thing about UNL is the hometown feel of East Campus. Everyone is in it together, faculty and administration go above and beyond to present students with opportunities to succeed, and there is a constant drive to improve.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?
It is hard to limit it down to one but my favorite as of now would have to be entrepreneurial finance, not because I loved the material but because it has prepared me to actually launch my seed stock business. Dave Lambe has been a great resource as the class progresses and even went with me to meet with investors and get hard numbers on my idea. Having the opportunity to take classes that can immediately impact your future with professors willing to dedicate their personal time to make it happen is just another reason I love it here.

What are your plans post-graduation?
After graduation I plan to attend graduate school in ruminant nutrition, I am interested in focusing on cow/calf nutrition. I also plan to continue to grow my registered cow herd and sell red angus bulls.

What's life like outside of school?
I'm very involved on campus. I'm president of Block and Bridle, vice president of Collegiate Cattlemen, as well as involved in the Engler Program and Collegiate Farm Bureau. I'm also currently serving as the Nebraska Beef Ambassador and was selected as a National Beef Ambassador a couple of weeks ago. Along with trying to keep up with all of that, I love hitting up the golf course and spending time with friends!
