Major: Agronomy with a minor in Agricultural Economics

What drew you to the University of Nebraska- Lincoln?

The University of Nebraska- Lincoln had a well-known agronomy department, not to mention it was in my hometown.

Looking back on your time at UNL, what are some of your fondest memories or proudest accomplishments?

Some of my proudest accomplishments during my time here at UNL are serving on the Newman Center student advisory board, graduating with highest distinction, and being recognized by the American Society of Agronomy as an outstanding senior.

Could you share with us some of the most important lessons you've learned during your time at UNL, and how you plan to apply these lessons in your future career?

Never be afraid to be wrong or to ask questions. The most effective way to learn is to be an active learner. My goal for my future is to never stop trying to learn.

What scholarships, if any, have you received?

I received the following scholarships: Husker Power, H. Beachell Scholarship, Lancaster Co. Farm Bureau Scholarship, C&A Marshall Leadership Award, Ken Good Scholarship, Dr. Frank Keim Memorial Scholarship, and the D.P. Mcgill Scholarship.

What are your plans post-graduation?

I will be working as a sales agronomist for Ag Valley Co-op in Indianola, Nebraska.
