Why did you decide to come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I originally decided to attend UNL because of the undergraduate plant biology degree, which is what my bachelor's degree is in. Additionally, I had scholarships to use and was excited to explore a new state for college.

What is your favorite thing about the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I enjoy the people I have met during my time here the most.

How has diversity and inclusive excellence played a role in your CASNR experience?

I cherish my friendships and experiences with students from around the world. Additionally, having opportunities to travel to not only national but international conferences, has provided life-long networking relationships and memories.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?

I particularly enjoyed botany and soil microbiology. Both of these classes opened my eyes to the interconnectedness of the world around us and permanently changed my perspective.

What are your plans post-graduation?

At this point in time, I plan to find a job in industry or in academia with a teaching focus.

What’s life like outside of school?

Life outside of school includes tending to my seasonal garden and Hoya collection, spending time with my cat and dog and learning new vegetarian recipes.
