Major: Professional Golf Managment
Anticipated Date of Graduation: May 2017
Why did you decide to come to UNL?
One major reason I decided to come to UNL was because of the PGA Golf Management Program. This was the closest school that offered it, and I also wanted to go to a bigger school. This ended up being the perfect fit!
What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?
I have really never disliked any classes or instructors, which I feel grateful for, but there have been a few instructors who have stood out as being exceptional. Of course, the PGM instructors are awesome, but also my business law instructor, Steve Russell, will always be an instructor that sticks out of the crowd. They just seem to take the extra time to make the students enjoy the subjects that they are talking about, and as a student it feels good to be treated as a person, rather than just a seat filler.
What are your plans post-graduation?
My plans for post-graduation are still up in the air. I have been fortunate enough to have had some great internship opportunities that are leading me in the right path. I know that this may sound cliche, but I understand that when you get out of college, beggars can't be choosers. I will have to work hard wherever I go to work my way up; it won't just be given to me.
What’s life like outside of school?
Anytime I can hang out with my buddies is a good day. Also, I love to play sports, whether it's golf, basketball, football, hockey or fishing, I love the competition. Now with that being said, I am nowhere near being athletic, but that doesn't mean I still don't have fun!
