I liked the plant pathology program of study.

What is your favorite thing about University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

The growing opportunities.

How has diversity and inclusive excellence played a role in your CASNR experience?

It’s hard to be the only Dominican doctorate student in town, but CASNR makes me feel at home.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?

I have enjoyed all my classes, but I took the biology of plant-pathogen and really enjoyed the time that I spent learning about fungi.

What are your plans post-graduation?

I want to become a university professor back home.

What’s life like outside of school?

I don’t have much of a life outside school. But after lab, my son and I usually go to the park for fresh air. We like to watch other people’s dogs. We also save some time to go to the church.
