Lincoln, Neb. —The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Dairy Store, 114 Food Industry Complex on East Campus, will close on Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m. and remain closed until further notice.
“With student, faculty and staff working off campus, and to adhere with recommendations to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, temporarily closing our doors is the right thing to do,” said Terry Howell, director of UNL’s Food Processing Center, which makes the Dairy Store’s ice cream.
The Dairy Store will offer curbside and in-store pickup of ice cream, cheese and eggs until 6 p.m. on March 20. Orders may be placed in person, over the phone at 402-472-2828, or online at marketplace.unl.edu. The Dairy Store will deliver online and phone orders curbside. Those who prefer curbside delivery can call the store when they arrive outside.
The Dairy Store, an East Campus mainstay for 103 years, celebrated its grand reopening on March 12. The new Dairy Store is located on the north side of the Food Industry Complex. Prior to its relocation, it had been located in the south part of the building.
