UNL receives national leadership award

Lincoln, Neb. —The University of Nebraska-Lincoln was among five organizations that received national recognition during the Trust Edge LEadership Institute's Trusted Leader Summit. 

During an April awards ceremony in Minneapolis, UNL received the Trusted Leader in Education Award for the strides Nebraska Extension has made in growing a culture of trust and incorporating trust-building strategies into its programming.  

Over the past six years, Nebraska Extension has held over twenty different, multi-day Trust Edge Workshops and trained more than 500 University faculty and staff, and Extension leaders also implemented a process for reinforcement with strategies for building higher performance and trust.  

Lisa Kaslon, Nebraska Extension professional development coordinator, and Dave Varner, Nebraska Extension associate director, received the award on behalf of UNL. Jenny Keshwani, who has also serves on the Trust Edge facilitator team for Nebraska Extension, was unable to attend the ceremony.
