Lincoln, Neb. —Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center are conducting a research project investigating the prevalence of COVID-19 in faculty, staff, and students of the University of Nebraska system. This study involves asking questions about travel history and contact with anyone infected with COVID-19 as well as performing a swab from the back of the nose. This study is intended to help UNMC researchers understand relationships between travel and prevalence of the virus and determine to what extent COVID-19 has infected the personnel with our University community.

The study is open to all NU students, faculty and staff. Interested participants should contact the principal investigator of the study, Dr. Scott Koepsell by email at scott.koepsell@unmc.edu.  Interested individuals may ask questions and arrange for an appointment for an interview and collection of a swab. Careful planning and logistics are utilized to ensure all participants maintain a safe distance.
