Thousands of Nebraska FFA members and guests be in Lincoln on April 4-6 for the 2018 Nebraska FFA State Convention. Convention activities include educational sessions, workshops, a career fair, a leadership academy, interviews and leadership skills events. Several of these events will take place on campus, so it’s a great opportunity to show potential students what the University of Nebraska–Lincoln has to offer!

On Thursday, April 6 a special event will take place. To celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding students, FFA members are invited to “Big Red Rock the Rec” from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the City Campus Recreation Center. FFA members will be able to participate in rock wall climbing, bubble ball, dodgeball and more.

Over 2,000 FFA members are expected at this event and in order to host such a large group, IANR is seeking volunteers for a variety of roles:

  • Sign-up FFA members for games and activities
  • Provide directions
  • General chaperone duties

Volunteers need to be available from 6 to 10:30 p.m. on April 6.

If you would like to volunteer for this event, contact Jessie Brophy at 402-472-7080 or jbrophy3@unl.edu
