CASNR Week focuses on students, employees, alumni

Lincoln, Neb. —The students, faculty, staff and alumni of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were the focus of a weeklong celebration.

Events, held March 9-13, included a blood drive, community night, ice-cream social, East Nebraska Union open house and a lunch for students. A donation drive for Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry+ was also held. Click the image below to see more photos from the celebration.


Top-knotch celebration by University of Nebraska–Lincoln on EXPOSURE

Faculty, staff and students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln were honored with awards during the Steve and Jessie Waller Awards Luncheon March 13 at the International Quilt Museum. The luncheon was part of the 20th annual CASNR Week celebration. 

Awards distributed and recipients: 

OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION AWARD: The award recognizes an organization that provides undergraduate and graduate students an extra experience and enjoyment in college.  

  • Agricultural Leadership Shields

OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION OFFICER AWARD: The award recognizes those accomploshments of the undergraduate and graduate student organizations that are dependent on the talents and guidance of its officers.

OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARD: The award recognizes those undergraduate students who display excellent leadership both in and out of the classroom.

OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION MEMBER AWARD: CASNR has so many successful student organizations at the undergraduate and graduate levels because of the great memberships within them.

OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT AWARD: The award recognizes teaching assistants who have been an asset to their respective teachers and have shown a commitment to students.

OUTSTANDING STAFF MEMBER AWARD: The award recognizes an individual who does a lot of behind the scenes work around campus and doesn't receive as much recognition as they deserve.

OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC ADVISING AWARD: The award recognizes individuals on campus that devote all of their time to helping students with advice and schedules.

OUTSTANDING TEACHING AWARD: The award recognizes those individuals who motivate us day in and day out and helps students to discover their passions.

OUTSTANDING GRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION AWARD: The award recognizes the organizations that offer undergraduate and graduate students an extra experience and enjoyment in college.
