Why did you decide to do your graduate studies at UNL?
I completed my bachelor's degree in the Department of Agricultural Economics and really enjoyed the faculty and my experience. Additionally, I'm interested in economic and community development work, and I appreciated UNL's dedication to conducting research that benefits rural areas, especially in Nebraska.

What is your favorite thing about UNL?
The support from faculty, staff, fellow students and generous UNL donors!  I've experienced exceptional guidance and helpful support across the university, which has been invaluable during my graduate work.  And also, the Dairy Store.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?
My favorite graduate course I've taken is Organization and Performance of Ag Markets. Why? Well, have you noticed that Walgreens and CVS are located next to each other or that some businesses offer discounts to college students while charging others full price and thought "Why would businesses do such a thing?" I enjoyed this class because it provided the framework to answer questions like these; it taught concepts that could easily be observed in everyday life.  We learned a great deal about market structure and strategic behavior of firms under various conditions, as well as the interaction between firms in the market. It was an engaging learning experience!

What are your plans post-graduation?
Pursue a career related to economic/business development (still figuring this one out!).
