Lincoln, Neb. —As part of National Pork Month in October, the Loeffel Meat Shoppe in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is celebrating with a special on pork products and four new pork recipe cards.
All October long, customers that spend $10 or more on the shoppe's available selection of pork chops, ground pork, brats, pork breakfast sausage, sliced bacon, and sliced pork in BBQ sauce will receive a pound of ground pork for free! Offer is limited to one per customer per week.
The shoppe also has new printed recipe cards featuring ground pork and ground pork sausage available to help you with your dinner plans. The Air Fryer Pork and Apple Burger and Pork Rice Bowl recipes use ground pork, while the Cheesy Pork Stuffed Bell Peppers and Multi-Cooker Tuscan Soup recipes use ground pork sausage. The recipes were developed in partnership with Nebraska Extension.
The Loeffel Meat Shoppe is located at the corner of 38th and Fair Streets on Nebraska's East Campus and the sales room is open on Fridays from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm. In addition to pork, the meat shoppe also offers various cuts of beef, lamb, goat, sausages, brats, natural casing weiners, snack sticks and fresh eggs.
