Lincoln, Neb. —The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Block and Bridle Club will host its annual Steak Fry event on Friday, September 13.

The event will be held at the Animal Science Complex on Nebraska's East Campus from 5-7 p.m. Presale meal tickets can be purchased for $10 at https://go.unl.edu/2024steakfry, or can be purchased at the door for $15. The meal consists of steak, cheesy potatoes, beans, a drink, and a cookie. To-go containers will also be available. The steaks are provided by Cargill, Incorporated.

The proceeds from the event help the club pay for educational opportunities such as industry tours, meeting expenses, club awards, and provides the club a chance to engage with friends, family, faculty, and staff outside of a classroom setting. The steak fry has served as the club's largest fundraising event and has been conducted annually for over 60 years by the club's beef interest group.

The Block and Bridle Club at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is comprised of students who are interested in animal agriculture. The Nebraska chapter is a charter member of the National Block and Bridle Club, established in 1919.
