Lincoln, Neb. — On Aug. 5-6 several new faculty and staff from the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will participate in the IANR Roads Scholar Tour. The tour allows new IANR faculty and staff to see and experience various regions of Nebraska.
This year the two day tour is packed with stops at the South Central Agricultural Laboratory, Raising Nebraska, Ashfalls Fossil Beds State Historical Park and Haskell Agriculture Lab just to name a few. The group will also visit several businesses across northcentral Nebraska.
The annual tour was first held in 2008. It was organized to help new faculty and staff learn more about Nebraska businesses and UNL facilities throughout the state. The tour also provides new hires an opportunity to meet innovative people in the region.
