Lincoln, Neb. —The Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) has come to East Campus.

OASIS representatives are holding office hours in a booth near the north exit of the dining hall in the East Campus Union on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students are encouraged to stop by and engage with OASIS staff members at the booth.

Before this year, OASIS services were only offered on City Campus, but the program is extending its reach.

“With the encouragement of the folks at CASNR, we’ve wanted to be accessible for students who are primarily on East Campus,” said OASIS Program Coordinator John Tessalee.

“We hope our presence on East Campus will help to bolster UNL’s commitment as a land-grant university in fostering inclusive, equitable and welcoming campuses.”

The mission of OASIS is to enhance student success by promoting academic excellence, diversity awareness, and social engagement. The program seeks seek to transform the lives of students through culturally sensitive academic support and retention services.
