Why did you decide to come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I decided to study at UNL because of its affordability and the excellent food science program.

What is your favorite thing about University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

My favorite thing about UNL is probably the Dairy Plant where I had the opportunity to work last spring. It’s really cool that the school makes its own cheese and ice cream, and it was a great experience for me.

How has diversity and inclusive excellence played a role in your CASNR experience?

CASNR's excellence in diversity and inclusion has made me feel that UNL is a safe place for everyone, and I've been able to learn a lot by interacting with international students. I appreciate hearing how their different cultural backgrounds have shaped their perspective.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?

My favorite class so far was the practical applied food science lab I took my freshman year. Every week we'd make some kind of food and learn about the science behind the process, which was a lot of fun.

What are your plans post-graduation?

After I graduate, I plan on getting a job in the food processing industry, but I still don't know what exactly I want to do.

What’s life like outside of school?

Outside of school, I'm involved in a few campus organizations and I co-lead a bible study group. When I'm not studying or working, I love to bake, read and draw.
