Why did you decide to come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I decided to come to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln because I truly felt at home on campus. I was excited to be able to move away from the town I grew up in but still be close enough to come home. I have been given so many awesome opportunities and met the greatest teachers and people throughout my time here.

What is your favorite thing about University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

My favorite thing about the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is most definitely the people that I get to interact with. The faculty and staff have always been very welcoming and make sure you feel at home. It makes a world's difference to be able to interact so well with fellow students and staff. Another thing that I adore about UNL is all of the opportunities I have been given throughout my college career. They have so many different options for students to get involved on and around campus.

How has diversity and inclusive excellence played a role in your CASNR experience?

I have been able to interact with students that come from different backgrounds as me from all over the world. I appreciate a different perspective on our state, school, and extracurricular activities from those students.

What is your favorite class you have taken so far and why?

I don't know that I can pick a favorite class. However, I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand this past winter. It was an absolutely incredible experience where I got to spend 4 weeks in a different country learning all about their country, agriculture, and customs.

What are your plans post-graduation?

I plan to graduate and go straight into the ag finance industry.

What’s life like outside of school?

Outside of school, I have become very involved in several different clubs and activities in Lincoln. I am an intern for the Nebraska Pork Producers where I work part-time. I also serve as the Block and Bridle club's vice president. Additionally, I am on the UNL Livestock Judging Team. Another one of my favorite things that Lincoln has introduced to me is the City Light U Church that I attend for youth group as well as Sunday services.
