LINCOLN, Neb. — Videos of Broadband Technology Fairs held across Nebraska have been archived online for further use.
The technology fairs, hosted by the Nebraska Broadband Initiative, drew small business owners, technology leaders, service providers, educators and more. The events featured experts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Public Service Commission.
The theme of the events focused on "the power of business" and provided information to help attendees adopt new technology applications.
Videos of key presentations are available at http://broadband.nebraska.gov/tech-fair-videos.
"There were a number of informative presentations offered," said Connie Hancock, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension educator. "We're posting these online so that people who attended the sessions can revisit them for a refresher, and those who weren't there can access this important information too."
Broadband Technology Fairs were held at Atkinson, North Platte, McCook, Norfolk, Seward, Grand Island, Sidney and Alliance.
These events are part of the Nebraska Broadband Initiative. This Broadband Mapping and Planning Initiative is funded through a grant to the Nebraska Public Service Commission by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration and aims to increase broadband adoption and use. Project partners include the University of Nebraska, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Nebraska Information Technology Commission, Nebraska Public Service Commission, and the AIM Institute.
