Carla Werner, UNL Extension administrative associate, received the University of Nebraska Board of Regents Kudos award March 15 for consistently demonstrating high-quality performance.
In working with operations involving all 83 county offices and four research and extension centers, Werner accounts for budget details, and manages extension’s promotion and tenure processes as well as calendars, travel and correspondence for the extension dean.
Nominators wrote that Werner exemplifies being a public servant courteously, promptly and efficiently. She ensures extension and the land-grant mission are represented by the highest quality of work, while juggling people and project needs and promoting strengths of individual team members.
Written comments include that Werner “addresses the topic of the moment but also provides related information that may be useful … this recognition of the bigger picture and importance of complete information is invaluable.”
