The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host the 2025 Annual Conference of the Association of Education and Research Greenhouse Curators (AERGC) Aug. 4–7, marking the 40th anniversary of the national organization.
The AERGC is a professional network of greenhouse managers and plant growth facility professionals from institutions dedicated to education, research and outreach. This year’s conference will bring together 65 registrants from across the United States and Canada.
The event kicks off Monday evening with registration and a meet-and-greet at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln. On Tuesday, attendees will travel to Omaha for behind-the-scenes tours at Lauritzen Gardens and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo.
Wednesday’s agenda includes tours of UNL’s three primary greenhouse facilities: the Greenhouse Innovation Center at Nebraska Innovation Campus, the Beadle Center Greenhouse, and the East Campus Greenhouse. Participants will also visit LI-COR Biosciences, a global environmental technology company based in Lincoln.
The conference concludes Thursday morning at the Embassy Suites with short presentations and a business meeting.
The AERGC’s annual conference focuses on building connections, sharing best practices, and strengthening the nationwide community of plant growth professionals in education and research.
