West Central Crops and Water Field Day Aug. 21 near Brule

LINCOLN, Neb. — A West Central Crops and Water Field Day Aug. 21 at the West Central Water Resources Field Laboratory near Brule will offer an opportunity for farmers and policy makers to learn and see irrigation practices and cropping systems on a farm scale that maintains or increases crop production while conserving water.

Presented by UNL Extension within the University's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the West Central Research and Extension Center, registration will start with 8 a.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) and the workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Participants will hear from UNL Extension Specialists and Educators and industry leaders on water issues that may affect their operations.

The afternoon will consist of field tours. The day will adjourn at 2:15 p.m.

CCA credits have been applied for in soil and water.
