Dear Colleagues,
As we complete the spring semester, I am continually inspired by the impact taking shape across the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources. From our research labs to communities across Nebraska, the work of our faculty, staff, and students reflects the strength and relevance of our land-grant mission in action.
This spring has highlighted Nebraska’s leadership in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing agriculture and natural resources. Our teams are advancing discovery in areas such as digital and precision agriculture, water and rangeland resilience, food systems, and the bioeconomy—while strengthening the communities we serve through meaningful partnerships. Across all 93 counties, Nebraska Extension continues to bring research to life, delivering solutions that support producers, families, and communities statewide.
Aligned with the University of Nebraska’s Odyssey to the Extraordinary, IANR is focused on bold, interdisciplinary work in food, water, energy, health, and community. These priorities guide our strategic direction and position Nebraska at the forefront of the land-grant system. What happens next in agriculture happens first in Nebraska.
As we look ahead to the opportunities of the summer season, I am confident in the continued momentum of our work. Thank you for your dedication to advancing learning, discovery, and partnerships that serve Nebraska and the world.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Heng-Moss
Interim Vice Chancellor, IANR
