About Jenny:
I was born and raised in Lincoln. After living in North Carolina and South Carolina for a couple of years after graduation, I moved back to be closer to my family.  I have a photography certificate, an associate of arts in paralegal studies and a bachelor of science in business with a minor in human resources.  I worked with a law firm and the workers' compensation court before coming to work for UNL.

What is your position at UNL?
I am an office associate for the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communication program in the Agricultural Leadership Education and Communication Department.

What drew you to UNL?
The dedication of employees and culture created by the staff and faculty.  The knowledge in their field goes beyond a common interest and straight to passion for what they are doing, helping students reach beyond the known.

What aspect of working in an educational setting do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy that not just the “norm” is accepted, but the unusual and unconventional. I like the encouragement of gaining knowledge and experience. The phrase “never say no to the unknown” comes to mind.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I would say my ability to read people is my greatest achievement.  If I can read people I know how to react to any and every situation.

What is something that people don't know about you?
I worked on cars when I was younger so I prefer to maintain my own vehicles when I can.

What is your life like outside of work?
Crazy. Besides taking care of my two girls, ages 11 and 8, I also take care of my family members who need assistance.  When I have time, I love experimenting with photography, gardening, running, kick boxing, crocheting, cooking and shooting.  I’m also a DIY freak.
